Garden fleece area of ??application:
The garden horticultural fleece is particularly suitable for covering strawberries, potatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and much more, outdoors and in the greenhouse. You will see and taste the difference.
Laying the horticultural fleece:
To lay the garden fleece, simply take it out of the packaging, place it loosely on the plants or seeds and weigh down the edge with a little soil or stones. The fleece is permeable to water, but can cause beads to form when watered or rained for the first time, which is normal at the beginning.
Tip from the expert:
Securing the garden fleece:
When securing, do not use ground anchors or nails that puncture the fabric at specific points, as there is a risk that the garden fabric will tear in strong gusts of wind. (blown by the wind). Instead, use soil or edge bags filled with sand/soil/gravel to weigh it down.
How do I use a plant cover:
It is best to cover the crops in cold temperatures - especially at night. During the day when the sun is shining, you can remove the fleece from the crops so that they receive direct sunlight and the earth underneath is warmed. Before the sun goes down, cover your plants again so that the heat is retained. This creates an ideal microclimate for optimal plant growth.
